The Stehli Silk Mill is another example of a successful historic tax credit project in Pennsylvania. This latest installment of “Historic Tax Credits @ Work” highlights how a silk mill complex can be thoughtfully rehabilitated and reused as residential and commercial space. Today, the now Lofts at Stehli Silk Mill are again reviving a location that supports the surrounding community and reminds us of its great history.

Join us in celebrating the Pennsylvania’s latest additions to the National Register of Historic Places! The PA-SHPO extends our congratulations and heartfelt thanks to all those who worked so hard on these nominations.
Tucked away in quiet North Philadelphia neighborhood is the former Peter Woll & Sons factory, now the Paper Lofts. Historic tax credits – both federal and state – gave the property it’s third lease on life.
There are 14 new National Register listings to share with you from the first half of 2022. They include an interesting range of institutional, ecclesiastical, commercial, educational, and industrial properties in 8 counties.
