Preservation Pennsylvania has issued a Call for Sessions Proposals for the 2017 Statewide Conference on Heritage. This year the conference will be held in the historic downtown of Carlisle Pennsylvania on June 14-16th, 2017.

Last year’s conference in Lewisburg was a huge success!
The Statewide Conference on Heritage is Pennsylvania’s premiere preservation and transportation conference, which brings together historic preservation professionals, advocates, state agencies, and private companies from around the state to explore the rich past, present, and future of the heritage movement. In its 39th year, the Conference typically attracts 250+ attendees and spans three days, with a plenary, mobile activities, presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities. The Conference is organized annually by Preservation Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth’s statewide nonprofit preservation organization, and its partners from PA SHPO, PennDOT, and other agencies and organizations.
This year’s theme, “Community Connections: Stories, Places, and Ideas that Matter,” seeks to highlight the importance of community and place making in the historic preservation field. We are excited to provide sessions inspired by our community, and hope you will consider submitting a session proposal.
