Description of Work

As an Environmental Review, Streamlining Coordinator in the Environmental Review Division, you will assist in streamlining the Section 106 and the State History Code review process. Work involves managing digital archaeological collections data and building policies/procedures to streamline internal and external artifact disposition and curation processes for state and federal projects. Archaeological research experience, including but not limited to compliance-related field work and artifact analysis in the U.S.; knowledge of state and federal preservation programs, regulations, and legislation; as well as consistency with the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards will enable you to manage projects effectively. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other Commonwealth agencies to assist in the creation of cultural resource management plans and programs that include archaeology collections from Commonwealth lands. Additionally, you will be responsible for participating in the creation and management of a comprehensive database for archaeological collection records that will enable electronic submission of data.
